THE KEY OF FAVOR
Matt 16:19
19 And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” NKJV
There is nothing as frustrating as using the wrong key to open a door when you are pressed or under pressure. It is your responsibility to know the right key per time. Some people have over used the key of prayers to force out a blessing and it is not working. There are many keys to access the blessings in the kingdom of God that comes with our salvation when you give your life to Christ.
Favor is one of the greatest keys in the kingdom of God. Favor is like a magnet that attracts the blessings of God like iron. Favor grants you access to the owner of the blessings. Favor creates open doors to the asker, seeker and knocker. Favor generate empathy and sympathy to get help in the time of need. Favor causes men to bless you. A favored man is a blessed man.
HOW DO YOU ACCESS THE KEY OF FAVOR?
Ps 5:12 For You, O Lord, will bless the righteous; With favor You will surround him as with a shield. NKJV
A righteous man is a man that has right standing with God, born again, spirit filled and spirit led. A good person with a godly heart. A Christ like believer, a person with a godly character. A good character is a fragrant perfume and bad character is a terrible odor. Character has a voice, an attitude and behavior. Good character attracts people & blessings. While bad character dispel or drives away blessings & people. A person with a bad character is as if they are cursed and undisciplined. Discipline is a part of character that is why it attracts favor
Gen 39:4 So Joseph found favor in his sight, and served him. Then he made him overseer of his house, and all that he had he put under his authority. NKJV
Gen 39:21-22 But the Lord was with Joseph and showed him mercy, and He gave him favor in the sight of the keeper of the prison. NKJV
Joseph was a talented manager but it was his good character that kept and sustained him each time he was promoted. Beloved,
1 Sam 18:5-6 So David went out wherever Saul sent him, and behaved wisely. And Saul set him over the men of war, and he was accepted in the sight of all the people and also in the sight of Saul’s servants. NKJV
1 Sam 18:14-16 And David behaved wisely in all his ways, and the Lord was with him. 15 Therefore, when Saul saw that he behaved very wisely, he was afraid of him. 16 But all Israel and Judah loved David, because he went out and came in before them. NKJV
David has a warrior’s anointing, he knew how to fight and kill. But it was his behavior – his character that made him become king. He appealed and won the people’s heart by his godly character. Child of God, anointing, talent, skills will promote and elevate you in life, but it is your character that will keep you there. Nothing kills favor like a man with a wrong attitude. You cannot open the door of favor without the key of character with the right attitude.
