THE HELPER?
Gen 2:18
18 Then the Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper who is just right for him. NLT
John 14:26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. NKJV
We live in a physical world where everyone needs help in one way or another in every area.
In the beginning, the very next thing God did after creating man was to give a helpmeet for him that is a helper. God knew that man could not survive alone in a physical world. No man is an island.
In business, in marriage, in education even in your carrier you need a helper.
If you travel abroad for the first time, you are a stranger; you will need a helper who will help in
Knowing your way around like a tour guide.
He will show you the landmark sites of the place
Help in knowing the basic rules, laws and constitution
Help you know your rights
Help in protecting you from harm or keep you from danger and death.
When you are stranger in a strange land, if you do not have a helper, life will be difficult and your progress will be slow or stunted.
Spiritually, every born again believer needs help spiritually in order to grow, survive, increase, overcome temptations, mature and progress in faith. A believer is first like a newborn baby and a total stranger in a strange land. He does not know anything. Therefore, the first thing God does for every believer is to bless them with the Holy Spirit whose responsibility is to help the new believer to grow to maturity and become like Jesus Christ. For this to happen the new believer must constantly feed on the word of God.
John 14:26
26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. NKJV
That is why everywhere you see people come to Christ they must receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit
Without a helper, a stranger in a foreign land will be lost, robbed, fall into trouble, be in danger and can be killed. The believer needs the Holy Spirit like oxygen. Do you have the helper?
Without the help of the Holy Spirit nobody can make progress spiritually, you cannot achieve anything meaningful, majority of the new convert struggle with their faith. They fall into sin and temptations easily. Their flesh controls them; hence, they are very carnal people. Most times the new converts die premature death, they turn back to the world and the devil does not spare them. It is not your portion
The baptism of the Holy Ghost is the only true sign of new born again Christian
He comes only upon those who are genuinely repentant and born again. He is God so he knows the heart of men. He knows when they are real and truthful.
Like a tour guide, He helps the believer to overcome their challenges. Are you facing challenges? Do you have The Helper?
God wants His children to make progress in all areas of life but everything starts in the spiritual realm but only the Holy Spirit can help you make progress. Do you have The Helper?
God wants His children to have meaningful achievements in life, only the Holy Spirit can help you. Do you have The Helper?
God does not want His children to fall into temptation but overcome every temptation, only the Holy Spirit can help you overcome. Do you have The Helper?
God does not want His children to be lost, only the Holy Spirit can help you find your way. Do you have The Helper?
God does not want His children to struggle with their faith but remain strong and full of power and zeal, only the Holy Spirit can empower you so. Do you have The Helper?
God does not want his children to continue to struggle with sins, only the Holy Ghost can help you to overcome sin. Do you have The Helper?
God wants to know all your inheritances and blessings in Christ, only the Holy Spirit can reveal it to you
God wants you to know the next blessings and promotion coming your way, it is only the Holy Spirit that can tell you
John 15:5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. 6 If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. NKJV
There are many things that God want to do in your life but only the helper can help receive them from God.
Do you have The Helper?
1 Cor 2:9-12 That is what the Scriptures mean when they say, “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.” 10 But it was to us that God revealed these things by his Spirit. For his Spirit searches out everything and shows us God’s deep secrets. 11 No one can know a person’s thoughts except that person’s own spirit, and no one can know God’s thoughts except God’s own Spirit. 12 And we have received God’s Spirit (not the world’s spirit), so we can know the wonderful things God has freely given us. NLT
